May 2012, the fifth edition of the Sundown Marathon will take place in the heart of the Lion city, establishing itself as the first ever night running experience in the city. The new race location will enable runners to enjoy the sights of several iconic attractions while they pound the streets of Singapore, including famous landmarks such as the Esplanade, Suntec City, Marina Barrage, Nicoll Highway and the future Sports Hub to mention a few.
For the first time, half and full marathon started together at 12:00 am. Have a very good run and control my pace until the 21 km u-turn and keep up my pace slightly.
Managed to achieved my full marathon PB (Personal Best) of 4 hour 21 minutes and 16.43 seconds for 42.195 km run. Endured the last 12 km quite heavy down pouring before the finishing line. This encouraged me to be more determine to finish the race as soon as possible. Did bring my mobile phone so unable to receive the warning SMS from the organizer.
Felt cold with the rain and managed to buy the bus ticket before boarded for home.
